The Chicago Fire have stamped their team with a new attitude following the signing of Cuauhtemoc Blanco. It's not as if the team didn't have a certain amount of swagger before. In 1998, a fearless Fire squad made its debut. Led by their indefatigable captain, Peter Nowak, the Fire denied two of the strongest teams in league history, that season's D.C. United and the Los Angeles Galaxy, en route to winning the title.
