Barcelona aim to go top of Spanish league

Barcelona have an opportunity to catapult themselves to the top of the Spanish league if they can overcome Real Zaragoza on Wednesday.

The Catalonians, led by an in-form Lionel Messi, hope to continue their victory run after beating Lyon 3-0 in the Champions League and then beating Seville 2-1 in the Spanish league at the weekend.

Dutch legend Johan Cruyff has meanwhile insisted that Barcelona can afford to leave their Brazilian star Ronaldinho out of the squad.
