Lehmann considering his options as Wenger tires of German gaffes
Lehmann’s mood will not have been improved by Wenger’s words yesterday, with the Frenchman confirming that Manuel Almunia will play in tonight’s Champions League third qualifying round, second-leg tie against Sparta Prague and the goalkeeper’s shirt is the Spaniard’s to lose.

Turning down Adriano to keep Flamini seems a bit insane to me. That's a big vote in favor of Adebayor and Silva, or maybe a commentary on just how little Wenger valued Baptista's contribution, as he and Adriano play a similar game. Or maybe he's just prejudiced against the fatties.
I found it annoying that he waited so long to include Silva last weekend when it was obvious that Adebayor wasn't match fit. Why not start Silva (who scored for Croatia mid-week) and bring in Adebayor off the bench!
I guess he could have taken Adriano on a loan and let him start all the cup matches...
They need a winger and some depth in defense!
