Paul Scholes admits he made the 'wrong decision' to turn down England for World Cup
Paul Scholes has admitted he regrets turning down the chance to play for England in the World Cup. He claims he might have agreed to go to South Africa if he had been asked by Fabio Capello, rather than his No 2, and given more than two hours to decide.

I must say he would have made a huge difference- England's midfield needed less defending and more red cards. This to me smacks of Paul realizing that if he'd gone to the World Cup he'd still be on vacation instead of spending time in Kansas City with a loss to the Wizards hanging around his neck like a dead albatross.
