You can see why Arsene Wenger would want to sign Jonathan Woodgate. It'd have been the perfect signing. With his injury record Woodgate would have hardly been avaliable for selection, enabling Wenger to contiue picking his regular players while finally having a retort to all the accusations of being anti-english.
