Why does it seem like everyone that comes into the Chelsea orbit ends up getting slimed and emerges covered in shit? Even players who are on form there can't come close to reproducing their form when taken out of context (see: Lampard, Frank. WC06).

Robben has played well for Holland. Essien well for Ghana. Duff well for Newcastle. Doh!

In my opion the only Chelsea player who had a good world cup was Essien, and he missed the Brazil match. Maybe Cech, though the Czechs disappointed. Robben has disappeared as much as he's dazzled for club and country. I guess you could say that JS Veron is lighting up the Argentine league but that's as far as I'd go with success stories. Just for fun I'm going to blame Peter Kenyon for all of it.
