Arsenal seek weekend perfect

Arsenal will go five points clear of Man Utd at the top of the Premier League if they win at Blackburn tonight. Arsène Wenger has praised Cesc Fàbregas for curbing his petulant streak without the need for any 'special management'

Liverpool and Chelsea in 0-0 bore

Fucking hell, it's as if every time these two teams play each other in the league the managers get together beforehand and say, 'the last league match between us was pretty boring but I know we can do better, I know we can send more people to sleep'. And the Premier League want to send this tripe abroad!

City do double over United

Carlos Queiroz claims that last week's international exertions were the root of Man Utd's derby loss. Of course, he doesn't seem to think this apply to the Man City players, who I guess were just lazing around all week getting massages. At least the Munich memorial went off without incident. Though it surely says much about soccer fans when they are praised for not booing at a ceremory to commemorate 23 deaths.

Cassano: The Women In Genoa Are Beautiful

Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano has revealed the reason why he is such blistering form this season – he is getting on very well with the women in Genoa.

"I didn’t really want to move to Genoa [Sampdoria] because I had been told that it was a dead city,” said Cassano.

“Instead however I discovered that the locals are very friendly and there are lots of nice women around. This latter factor is fundamental for me.

“Are we allowed women in the build-up before matches? Well you simply have to organise it. You take a room upstairs and then quickly you meet up with them.”
