Tottenham confirm signing of Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City in deal worth £9m

Tottenham have completed the permanent signing of Emmanuel Adebayor, with the deal eventually concluded after the Togo striker accepted a significant severance package from Manchester City. They also paved the way for the departure of defender Michael Dawson to Queens Park Rangers.
