Grant Wahl: The story of RSL: A once-wretched MLS club is making history

In his first two years, Jason Kreis took Salt Lake from league laughingstock to 2009 MLS Cup champion. RSL is 4-0 in the young MLS season, and its 34-game home unbeaten run in all competitions may well be the longest in the world after Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk recently ended its 55-game streak.

Royal Salt Lake deserves all of the credit they get for building a strong and deep roster, quite unusual for MLS. They also deserve credit for having the stupidest faux-Euro name of any team in MLS, unless there is some King of Salt Lake that I don't know about.
