Rooney Escapes FA Action

The Football Association has confirmed no further action will be taken against Wayne Rooney following the Manchester United striker's elbow on James McCarthy at the weekend.

Anyone who thinks the FA would have suspended Wayne Rooney for this sort of offense, especially after the fact, needs to look up "Alan Shearer" and "Jon Fortune".
