I can't see this working out too well. Foreign management without any kind of background in MLS tends to flop in a big way- see Ruud Gullit. Foreign coaches who have done well here (Steve Nichol, for one) generally have had a background in the league and have taken a few years to get their feet under them, which RBNY has shown little patience for in recent years (Osorio, Arena). If paired with someone who knows the ins and outs of the business side of MLS he could conceivably do well, but the new GM, Erik Soler, is also new so MLS. They should just hire Ritchie Williams- the fans like him, the players have responded very well to him in his two stints as interim manager and he knows MLS inside and out and his experience dealing with the arcane salary and contract structure would be a huge asset.
As far as Thierry coming to NY, I know it's inevitable, but... barf.
If you see yourself as a deep-thinking, sensitive, poetry writing ex-footballer while the rest of the world sees you as a bit of a wanker, then your chances are high.

I can't see this working out too well either, but more because Adams' record as a manager is shite.
If I suck at something and get fired a couple of times can I get recruited to do it again somewhere else?
