Nothing Given

Although I'm an Arsenal fan, I try to keep SSN as neutral as possible. This is not an Arsenal blog, and there is no agenda here, other than to provide quick access to the most important articles of the day. That said, I must post this clip from Saturday's match at Old Trafford.

Can't complain about this. Teams visiting Old Trafford won't get penalty calls and will have anything close called against them. That's just the way it is and visiting teams know it. Arshavin dealt with this no-call the right way- by getting up and scoring. Arsenal were good enough to beat ManYoo on Saturday, they just weren't good enough to beat ManYoo and the ref, which is the only way to get out of Old Trafford with points. Pundits are saying that this is proof that ManYoo's a better- they're taking all of the points in matches where they're outplayed, and to me that's undeniable. At the same time, their midfield and the right side of the defense looked like slag and they are going to need a hell of a lot of favorable calls away from home this year if they want to win the league playing like that.

What, no cheat headlines or FA investigations? Apparently Fletcher is pure scotch grit and barely touched the dress-making Russian. Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney is a legend and never ever would simulate a foul to earn a penalty.

The whole thing is hard to take but the two goals United scored were absolute shite and a fair representation of the club and their supporters on the day. We just have to use this, look at our own chances we had to kill the game and move forward. We went to OT without our best player, could have gotten a result but were very unlucky. We'll see those twats again.
