Jonathan Wilson in Eastern Europe

The talented and temperamental Andrei Arshavin's perceived 'betrayal of Mother Russia' may soon reach its conclusion.

Arsenal a likely beneficiary as Arshavin confirms his western wanderlust.

Makes no sense to me at all unless Wenger thinks he can convert him into a holding midfielder or central defender. They have RVP to play the 2nd striker role, they've got Theo, Nasri and Diaby to cover the advanced wide roles (as well as Tommy Gun if he ever plays again). There's Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshire to consider. They don't really need what Arshavin brings to the table. Lastly 27 is awfully old for a Wenger signing.

Agreed. 27 years old with Russian league experience and one good international competition. Sounds like Milan Baros to me. Hopefully Le Boss won't pull the trigger and will by defensive players.
