Anyone who was at Innsbruck watching the Russians being taken apart by Spain in their opening group game would have advised them to start booking an early flight back to Moscow. But tournament football does not work like that. Holland and Portugal set Euro 2008 alight with some fabulous football which, when it came to booking a place in the semi-finals, proved no help at all.
