After last season's debacles in the Bundesliga the Bayern board cleaned house and brought in a host of new talent to reassert the club's dominance in the domestic and European leagues. While the Bundesliga championship is secured, Zenit St. Petersburg reminded Bayern that the measuring stick for European success is considerably longer, delivering a compreshensive defeat over two legs. Thanks for the memories Ollie Kahn and Ottmar Hitzfeld, it's been a great ride.
