OK, is anyone surprised by this? Henry's talent has always been staggering but at Arsenal he had a manager who was willing to tailor the formation around his specific skills. Barca were never going to do that as they have too much forward talent. Playing 4-4-2 in the Arsenal style is bound to fail; Barca doesn't play with traditional wide players and most of their attacking midfield players come from the middle. Eto'o is not cut out for the Bergkamp role (though Ronaldinho might be). This issue is similar to the issue France have in getting the best out of Henry, a problem that has never been solved. I honestly think for him to play his best he needs to be at a team that's not quite top of the league so they have no compunction about setting up the entire squad to cater to his talents.
No, I'm not surprised. There is also the fact that he changed leagues. He needs time to settle.
