Capello axed by Real despite title win

Real Madrid sacked coach Fabio Capello on Thursday, 11 days after he led them to their first Primera Liga title in four years.

'I haven't managed to talk it over with him personally because he is on holiday at the moment, but I did manage to speak to his son who is also his lawyer.' Nice!!

Pure class, as always. I wonder why top managers ever take this job given that nobody ever lasts more than a year? I seem to recall they sacked a manager after winning the Champions League in '98. It's stuff like this that just makes me laugh when that I read that Madrid want to sign top class managers like Mourinho or Wenger.
