Marcelo Salas to MLS?
The Fire have been on a brutal 0-4-1 streak and have had serious issues scoring goals. They're hoping that former Chile/Lazio/River great Marcelo Salas could be the answer to their scoring problems. He's nearly 33 and not the player who inspired Chile at WC'98 but if he's got anything left in the tank then his addtion to the team will be greatly appreciated.

Ugh. Not another washed up player. They've got to start getting guys at 29 or 30, not at 33.
Nah, you've got it all wrong. I think the Fire should sign Thomas Dooley and Jose Luis Chilavert and Davor Suker and Jurgen Klinsmann and then re-brand the team "WC98 All Stars".
I bet Suker is getting really fat on the Croatian coast. It'd be great to find a current photo of him. Chilavert was fat when he was still playing, no so mystery there...
