I can see your point, but realistically at what position would you invest? They have 4 good strikers plus Baptista and Aliadiare. They have a boatload of central midfield players- Fabregas, Gilberto, Denilson, Flamini, Diaby. They have 3.5 excellent center backs (Senderoos has been downgraded to a half of an excellent center back). Left back is the only spot where they don't really have a suitable replacement for Clichy. Gallas is not the answer there, though like Flamini he can cover it adequately from the defensive standpoint. So where do you add players? Wide left and right? What?
I'd like to see a top winger signed. Theo is the only player they've got who can open things up. Hleb, Tomas, Freddie all turn inside. And how about this? A proven goal scorer. Currently there are only two. I don't agree that they have four good strikers. Henry and RVP are there, but Adebayor is only a solid #3. After that there is nothing. And pleased never put the word "plus" in front of Asstista's name again...
Also, a top left back and right back. Eboue is dubious.
