Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel led the way this weekend as the American contingent in the UK had a strong week.

Johnson had his best game of the season on Saturday, as his aggressiveness paid dividends for Cardiff. Johnson, starting once again, won not one, but two penalties for the Bluebirds, one of which was converted into a goal. The speedy striker looked confident and was forceful on the pitch, resulting in a very productive affair. Cardiff won 2-1 over Crystal Palace.
