Tony Cascarino: Spurs' grand plans can be scuppered by mediocre team
Tottenham Hotspur announced plans for a 60,000-capacity stadium yesterday but would they fill it? The idea is for a new ground close to White Hart Lane, which is an awful place to get into and away from – the worst stadium in London in terms of transport links. And after the initial novelty factor of the new place has worn off, I wonder how many fans will turn up unless the club are doing something they haven't managed for decades – consistently challenging near the top of the table.
