This result strengthens a growing suspicion that the big boys like having Spurs to kick around. They endorse the mid-table mediocrity, but will not stand for a Spurs side that goes down. So what to do? Arsenal did their part by gifting a point last week. This weekend saw Jamie Carragher single-handily clear a way for the next step in Tottenham's march to survival. That makes it a win and two draws against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, respectively, accounting for 5 of Spurs 9 points. Spurs are off the floor and looking to break free of the drop-zone, we await ManU's contribution.

I suppose it's nice to have Spurs to kick around. Everyone likes kicking a "big club" like Spurs whenever possible. We just want to keep you clowns up long enough for you to build your new stadium. Then you can drop off the face of the planet like your white-shirt wearing brethren Leeds...
