Real Madrid cruised to victory over 10-man BATE Borisov on Wednesday night in a Champions League Group H game that was easier for the Spanish champions than the 2-0 scoreline suggested.

Lyon scored twice in the final 17 minutes to deny Fiorentina all three points in a pulsating Champions League Group F clash at the Stade Gerland on Wednesday.

A second-half goal from Alessandro Del Piero was enough for Juventus to see off the challenge of Zenit St Petersburg in their Champions League Group H opener.

Kiev got their penalty by cheating -- the clown completely pulled Sagna over, but it was only obvious on replay, so it's tough to fault the ref. It should have never come to that, however, as Gallas had two chances to end the play. His goal not withstanding, he's currently Arsenal's biggest liability. And he's captain to boot.
