Goal.com USA's Matthew Braine runs down the happenings of the American players in England this past week.

Brian McBride, Fulham
vs. Aston Villa (20 minutes, 0 goals)

McBride made his return on Sunday against Aston Villa and was in the side that climbed back to steal a win at home. In his first action since August 2007, McBride and the Cottagers got two goals within 13 minutes. And while the striker didn’t have too much to do with either of them, it was encouraging to see the captain back on the field. It will be interesting to see if Roy Hodgson decides to bring him off the bench at first, but odds are that he will start considering that Fulham’s top flight lives are at stake for the remainder of the season.
