England: PFA's Gordon Taylor offers to mediate in Luis Suárez-Patrice Evra row

The Football Association is investigating a complaint from the Manchester United defender Evra, who accused the Liverpool striker Suárez of racially abusing him during Saturday's Premier League game at Anfield. Suárez said he is "upset" by the allegation, which he has categorically denied.

Reports suggest that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was summoned after United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had accompanied Evra to the referees' room and consulted with fourth official Phil Dowd. Sources in France said the word Suarez is alleged to have used is "n*****".
