Americans On The Continent: Carlos Bocanegra Returns To Action

Michael Bradley, Borussia Moenchengladbach (Germany)
Vs. Mainz, 2-3, 89 minutes, Yellow Card

Substitute Sami Allagui scored two goals in 13 minutes to cancel out Monchengladbach’s Marco Reus’s own brace and snatch a rather deserved victory for the visitors. With all five goals scored in the second half, Mainz edged M’Gladbach in possession 52%-48%, but doubled their shot total with 16. Michael Bradley played 89 minutes for the home side, picking up a yellow card in the process. With the loss M’Gladbach drops to the basement of the Bundesliga with a paltry 10 points out of 13 games.
