Somewhat unsurprising. Lopez produced some moments of brilliance for the Whizz but was prone to disappearing for long stretches and did take command of the team in a way that one might expect from a DP. I'd also wager that he wasn't exactly a juggernaut for the marketing department in the way that Blanco and Beckham have been, though when your team plays in a 10K seater minor league baseball stadium I guess putting butts in the seats isn't as critical.
Even with Lazio he wasn't the type of player who could take things over and really lift a team. He's always been a bit peripheral. When will KC get a new stadium? I haven't been paying attention.
