This article is a load of shit. If Beckham wants to play on loan in a top league while MLS is not playing, good for him! He's worked his ass off for MLS and I don't think there is any "message" here from him other than he wants to keep playing and try and remain in the England fold. Again, have at it, I say. Never thought I'd defend Golden Balls to such an extent but I don't understand the backlash here. -Ed.
