The Ibrox club are going through one of their intermittently glum periods, having drawn 0-0 in Glasgow with FBK Kaunas last Wednesday in the second qualifying round, first leg, before being routed and humiliated by Liverpool at Ibrox on Saturday.
This evening, Rangers face the Lithuanian team again, and the flak will fly in Walter Smith’s direction if he doesn’t guide his team to a final qualifier against Aalborg BK later in the month.
