Et tu, Brute?
Well the lure of dirty lucre was too much for Mattieu Flamini, who joined Milan yesterday. It will hardly have come as a shock to Wenger as the midfielder joined Arsenal from Marseilles in similar circumstances. In terms of the type of player Flamini is Wenger shouldn't find it too difficult to find a replacement, but his going could have a destabilising effect. Both Wenger and Diarra could be regretting that move to Portsmouth this morning. Possible replacements? I quite like Michael Johnson at Man City, though maybe he doesn't cover the ground as much as a Flamini or a Hargreaves. The Guardian is suggesting Gattuso, which would be more of a like-for-like replacement.
