While I agree with most of what's written there, I also need to forward along a point made on Arseblog this morning- with the exception of Dennis Bergkamp Arsenal haven't really ever signed established superstars. The Gervinho signing isn't really so different than signing Bobby Pires or Henry.
I think the difference is that in the past they could at least attract the top stars, they just didn't buy them. Now, they can't attract them even if they wanted to buy them.
... or keep them when they've already got them signed.
