"What might have been" is an ass kicking at the hands of Uruguay. Ghana were better, on the day and in general. No American player in the history of US Soccer has had the quality required to produce a goal like Asamoah Gyan's winner against us on Saturday. I don't think there's anything to regret- we played a more talented team very well and in the end we lost.

Besides Sanford, you're overlooking the obvious- US will never win at a big tournament wearing Spurs home kit, right?

I was shocked that he started Findley and Clark and indeed we paid the price. I think we could have nicked it if we had started with Edu and Benny. Ghana are good, and might be better, but we could have taken it.
