Carlisle: Men's team is prepared -- even for Rooney

With practices open to the media only for the first 15 minutes, and news conferences usually restricted to manager Bob Bradley and a select player or two, gauging the mood of the U.S. team is often akin to reading tea leaves. Amid the usual platitudes, words are parsed and body language is interpreted for any hint of what the players are really thinking.

I love this comment on that story so much I thought I'd share...

The English soccer fan is a hilarious thing to behold. Before every WC they are convinced they are going to win it, and after their typical 2nd round or quarterfinal tragedy the English fans all say "Well, I always knew we were terrible!!' Truly hilarious. I dont think the US wins this match...I put the chances of a draw at 25-30 percent...but if England loses, seing half their country jump in the Atlantic should be fun to watch.
