Here is the goal. Using his hand or arm in this situation would not even offer him an advantage...

And here's Henry facing the press. You rarely see him get so upset. It's interesting that he says that Arsenal are not yet a big club. I'd have to agree. There is no way that call would be made against ManU, Madrid, Juventus, Milan, Barcelona, etc.

I love that the announcers on the clip think the ref has called offsides (I think thats what they were asking) - they just couldn't believe it. I had never seen him angry before that press conference either - he has disagreed with calls, but always plays the gentleman. I think the fact that he got a yellow card b/c the ref thought he pulled a Drogba is what put him over the edge - he is such an immacualtely clean player that to be accused of trying to deceive the ref was partic infuriating. What a bad call.
The ref made a really bad call. A dumb, blind call. But the whole 'we're not a big club' whinge is daft.
Firstly, it's hard to believe the ref didn't award the goal because Ars aren't a 'big club'. More likely because he's an idiot with poor eye sight.
Secondly, there probably is a group of bigger teams [ManU, Real, etc] that get calls they shouldn't, but it doesn't mean Ars, or any other team should, too. It's not a group of teams Ars should be allowed to join, rather one that shouldn't exist.
Moreover, there are plenty of smaller Prem teams who would argue Ars already belong to this favoured group, esp when Pires was falling in the penalty box, or when Gallas was playing volleyball against Charlton.
Mind you, if it gets Henry swearing, I'm all for it.

I haven't seen too many Henry press conferencs but I must say that I've watched my fair share of Gunners matches & France matches over the years and I'm getting a bit fed up with the sense of entitlement that he shows on the pitch. It seems to have developed over the last several years. Lots of whining to team mates about balls they should have played him or what they didn't do with balls he played them. Lots of pouting. I recall a play in the CSKA match in which Adebayor was wide in the box with Henry at the back post, the two separated by the keeper. Adebayor did well to get off a great shot on the run which the keeper narrowly saved. The ball went out for a corner leaving the viewer with a full view of Henry yelling at Adebayor and pointing at his foot. It's annoying.
Sure, it's a group of clubs that does not exist, but let's face it - they do exist. And yes, certainly in the EPL Arsenal are in that group. But I agree with Henry. When it comes to Europe, they remain on the outside looking in because they don't have the pedigree.
Sorry - meant to say "Sure, it's a group of clubs that SHOULD not exist, but let's face it - they do exist."
