World Cup Qualifying: United States 2 - 1 El Salvador

The United States managed a 2-1 win over El Salvador at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah after falling down 1-0 in the first half. Both of the U.S. goals came from assists by captain Landon Donovan who found the heads of teammates Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey. However, the El Salvador side put up a good fight and challenged the home team right up until the final whistle.
