Further observations:

- keeper should have been on a yellow card (at least) for mistreating Gareth Bale, flower of Britain's youth. Should have been sent off for the foul on Lennon.
- Why wasn't RVP given a card for scoring a goal which was deemed offside? Isn't that a serious offense in the eyes of FIFA?
- Much has been made of Cesc's calling out Wenger for essentially botching the development of younger players by failing to keep/bring in in the wise old heads who know how to win. Cesc provided the assist which won the World Cup for Spain. Cesc played significant minutes for the Spain team that won the Euros in 2008. Cesc is the captain of the club and is supposed to be providing an example and leadership for the younger players. Does he not hear what he's saying? As far as I can tell the only example he's setting for the youngsters is how to engineer a move to a new club and effectively undermine his current club's season through complaint and poor performance while avoiding the sort of negative PR that Ronaldo generated in forcing his move to Real. He can't leave soon enough and now that the best Arsenal can hope for is effectively 4th place they should give him the nice rest he didn't get after spending the summer celebrating his South African triumph with his future teammates. Perhaps they'll let him on the open top bus when they parade their Liga title next month.
